A new service allowing mobile users to retain their phone numbers when switching providers has been enthusiastically welcomed by two of the three players in Kuwait’s mobile telecom monopoly. Officials from Wataniya and ZAIN hailed the new service, saying that it is not only timely and essential but also beneficial to their companies and customers generally.
At Wataniya Telecom we welcome such a plan; we believe it has been necessary and it is for the greater benefit of our customers,” said Abdulaziz Al-Balool, Wataniya Telecom Public Relations Manager. He explained that customer satisfaction is at the forefront of Wataniya’s business model. “If [the plan is] good for our costumers we will support it fully,”
