Chris Pratt hosts ‘Saturday Night Live,’ portrays Princess Leia - NY Daily News

Chris Pratt was the guardian of "Saturday Night Live's" season premiere, celebrating the show's 40th anniversary.
"I'm so pumped to be here hosting the season premiere of 'Saturday Night Live,'"he said during his opening monologue on Sept. 28.
The "Guardians of the Galaxy" star talked about his 60 pound weight loss for the lead role in the film and detailed the, "Hey-fat-ass-get-into-shape-so-you-can-be-in-my-movie-diet," he endured to get slim down.
Obviously it worked as he and the Marvel flick were a huge hit. In fact, it's the highest grossing film this year, totaling $294.6 million six weeks after its release.
What better way to celebrate the film's success than with an "SNL" skit about the undeniable triumph's Marvel movies produce.
