Upcoming Marvel Movies 2014 & Beyond (List) (inc. TV, Animated) | Movie Moron

Marvel’s got plans for the next few years. Big movie plans. In 2014 we’ll see Phase Two continue with the likes of ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ and ‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier’ as they build towards ‘The Avengers: Age of Ultron’ in May 2015. But what lies beyond that?
There’s plenty to come from Marvel Studios, but let’s not forget their properties at Fox and Sony too. So here are all the upcoming Marvel movies of 2014 and beyond (we’ll round-up TV and animated movies at the end too).

- 2014 -

Captain America: The Winter Soldier – April 4, 2014
Upcoming Marvel Movies 2014
Set two years after the events of ‘The Avengers’, the second Captain America movie sees Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) adapting to a very different life in modern society. But it’s not long before a fellow S.H.I.E.L.D agent is attacked and Cap starts unravelling a sinister threat. With the help of The Falcon (Anthony Mackie) he’ll come face to face with – you guessed it – the Winter Soldier himself. Oh, and Robert Redford will also be joining as a senior leader of S.H.I.E.L.D. This time it’s directors Anthony and Joe Russo, (‘You, Me and Dupree’, ‘Community’) at the helm.
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 – May 2, 2014
2014 Marvel Movies
Andrew Garfield’s second outing at Spider-Man in the Marc Webb reboot will bring him up against Electro (Jamie Foxx) and, briefly, Rhino (Paul Giamatti) as he digs further into his father’s past. It’ll also be the first time we meet Norman (Chris Cooper) and Harry Osborn (Dane Dehaan). While it’s assumed we won’t see daddy Green Goblin until next time, angry Harry will be taking the “goblin glider” out for a ride – not that Spidey needs any more on his plate right now.
X-Men: Days of Future Past – May 23, 2014
New Marvel Movies 2014
It’s mutants meet time travel for ‘Days of Future Past’, as Bryan Singer unites characters from the original X-Men trilogy with their younger selves to fight for the survival of the mutant race. They’ll be going up against Trask Industries’ Sentinel robots, enemies which first appeared in the comics in 1965. The story will be partly set in the 1970s, and feature Richard Nixon as a character.
Guardians of the Galaxy – July 31, 2014
Upcoming Marvel Films
Caught up in a sequel-heavy Phase Two for Marvel, ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ is already a standout title. It’s certainly got a big lineup of names: Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Benicio del Toro, Glenn Close and John C. Reilly will all be appearing the flesh, while Bradley Cooper voices Rocket Racoon and Vin Diesel voices Groot. The story will follow American pilot Peter Quill (Pratt), aka Starlord, who’s on the run from the villainous Ronan after stealing a mysterious orb. In order to survive, he has to ally with a group of misfits, including (yep) a gun-wielding racoon.

- 2015 -

Fantastic Four – March 6, 2015
Marvel Movies List 2014
‘Fantastic Four’ is perhaps in need of a reboot than any other movie franchise – and the good news is that it’s coming. Details are sparse for now, though a potential synopsis recently surfaced online. Said plot sees Reed Richards (Miles Teller) and Ben Grimm (Jamie Bell) as childhood friends who undergo their transformations after an unspecified event. Both later become weapons of the government and soon meet Invisible Girl (Kate Mara) and The Human Torch (Michael B. Jordan). Even if this plotline proves fake, the cast is set. They are currently chosing between four up-and-coming young British actors for Dr. Doom. The director of ‘Chronicle’ is at the helm.
The Avengers: Age of Ultron – May 1, 2015
Marvel Animated Movies 2014
‘The Avengers: Age of Ultron’ will bridge Phase Two and Phase Three of Marvel’s master plan, reuniting our ensemble of heroes. This time the cast will be joined by Aaron Taylor-Johnson (as Quicksilver), Elizabeth Olsen (Scarlet Witch) and James Spader (Ultron). Obviously, Ultron will be one of the major evil forces in the film, however Joss Whedon says that the movie will be doing its “own version” of the Ultron origin story.
